Healthiest Family On The Block Fundamentals

Have you been wanting your family to eat better, but find it overwhelming?  There are so many things to consider when embarking on your journey towards good nutrition for your family.  What should I look for when reading labels?  How much protein should I have in a day?  What should I buy organic and not?  Is there food I should avoid all together?  The list goes on and on!  Come and discover how your family can become the healthiest family on the block!  We'll discover what an enormous impact nutrition has in our lives and the lives of our families in this fast paced, fun and highly interactive workshop!  Children are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Participants will walk away with a greater understanding of whole food nutrition and how to incorporate it into the lives of their families as well as recipes and go to shopping lists from our area grocery stores.  This is a condensed version of the Healthiest Family On The Block full length class.

Healthiest Preschooler On The Block

This class is geared towards parents and children ages 3 - entering kindergarten.  Bring your preschooler and discover together how fun good nutrition can be.  The first part of the class we will learn all about healthy eating with our preschooler through songs, stories, activities and play.  The second part of our class the parents will gain an understanding of nutrition, how nutrition impacts how the brain develops, and how nutrition directly impacts children's behavior.  This interactive class is designed so that parents and preschoolers have a ton of fun while learning some amazing information.

Classes meet Thursday mornings from 10:30 am - 11:00 am beginning January 11th and ending February 15th.

This class is geared towards parents of children ages 3 months-12 months.  Come and discover the world of nutrition and how it can be the greatest gift you can give your baby as they explore their new world of food.  Babies are an empty canvas when it comes to food and nutrition and there is truly no better time to mold their tastes to prefer a nutrient dense diet than when they are babies.  Discover how babies first foods can create a palette of healthy eating for a lifetime in this fun and interactive setting.  We'll explore baby's first foods, how to make baby food, baby's finger foods, nutrition and how the brain develops, nutrition and behavior and what food to avoid.  Come and enjoy a morning with fellow parents as we explore your babies nutrition.  Children are welcome.
